Privacy Policy for Samarkand

01

The short version

Samarkand has no account system and no server. Your progress — souls collected, unlocked mutations, settings — is saved locally, in your browser or on your Android device, and never transmitted anywhere.

02

What Samarkand stores, and where

Run and meta-progression (souls, unlocked mutations, best runs) — saved in your browser's localStorage on Web, or in local app storage on Android.
Settings — language, volume, and other preferences — stored the same way.
03

No analytics, no accounts

Samarkand does not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind, and has no account or sign-in system. There is nothing to collect, because nothing about your play is ever sent anywhere.

04

In-game statistics

The live combat statistics and end-of-run summary (damage dealt, DPS, rooms cleared, and similar figures) are calculated and shown entirely on your own device, for your own reference. None of it is transmitted anywhere.

05

Deleting your data

Clearing your browser's site data for Samarkand (Web) or uninstalling the app (Android) removes all locally-stored progress. This is permanent and cannot be undone, since there is no server copy to restore from.

06

Children's privacy

Samarkand does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information from anyone at all.

07

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above will change with it.
